Mr. Lyman has served as the Treasurer for Kansas City Mayor Sly James Campaign, Vice-Chair of the Academié Lafayette Board of Directors, former Chair of the Twelfth Street Heritage Development Corporation Board of Directors, member of the Planned Industrial Expansion Authority, and Fiscal Responsibility Capital Improvements Committee for the Truman Medical Center Board of Directors.

Volunteering is an opportunity for Mr. Lyman to contribute to Kansas City’s many non-profit institutions benefiting residents, business, and the overall health of Kansas City. It also provides a unique platform to develop and cultivate mutually beneficial relationships across cultures and traditional divides.

Mr. Lyman has a wealth of experience as a Congressional Intern for the Senate Republican Conference in 1996 and as a Governor’s National Leadership Fellow at Ferris State University in 1997. In 1998, Mr. Lyman was rewarded for his many unselfish acts with the highly coveted SCSU Presidential Excellence in Leadership Award. Through his his leadership, one of his businesses received the Outstanding Minority Retail Firm Award, Server of the Year Award, multiple Community Service Awards and was a graduate of the Herman Johnson Mentorship Program. Mr. Lyman is also the 2013 recipient of the inaugural No More Excuses Only Results Conference, Helping Hand Award.
