About the Author: Nancy Ullrich lives in Duluth, Minnesota. Her interest in photography really began when the digital cameras appeared around 1998, and Nancy retired from nursing in 2001 to devote her time to nature photography. Her photographs have been featured in various publications, including the Arrowhead Electric annual calendar, the Cook County map, the Cook County Star, the Cook County Herald, Exploring the North Shore, greeting cards, and prints. She has won awards for her photography from the Duluth Superior Camera Club, and she is also the author of Gunflint Critters and Other North Wood Wonders.
