Dr. Michele Vaughn has publicly expressed her concerns about high school dropouts in a friendly debate on Fox & Friends television network. She has graced the cover magazine of Columbia College of Missouri and was recognized as one of Lake County's Intriguing Individuals in the 2011 December magazine issue. Dr. Vaughn was the 2012 recipient of the Outstanding Educator award through the National Association of University Women. In 2011, she was the recipient of the Outstanding Community Educator award through the YWCA of Lake County and in 2010 she received the Outstanding Teen Mom award through the Healthy Teen Network. But, prior to Dr. Vaughn's current professional accomplishments she once faced the struggle of being a pregnant teen with the early experience of set-backs and obstacles. Refusing to become another statistic, she made the decision to reclaim her purpose by earning an Associate of Arts degree, a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Columbia College of Missouri, a Masters of Science in Counseling and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Argosy University. Dr. Vaughn is extremely passionate about helping others realize their full potential and pursue their purpose. Today, she continues to travel as an inspirational speaker to various settings with the hope of motivating others to live out their dreams with eyes wide open!
