Life is an adventure. If we view it in any other manner we become entrapped in our daily struggles to reach some ideal state, or perfection that does not exist and can never be accomplished.

Benny lives in Leslie County with his wife of fifteen years, Tracy. He attended Berea College, where he graduated in 1984 with a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in management and accounting. He worked as a lawn care contractor for ten years, at Hyden Citizens Bank for seven years, Whitaker Coal Corporation for 2 ½ years and has been at the Kentucky River ADD (KRADD) for seventeen years. He began his writing career in 1992 with short stories and poems. Benny completed course work at the Institute of Children’s Literature in West Redding Connecticut where he received a certificate in Children’s Literature.
