Author Information...

Fred WilliamsFred has transformed casual hot-air balloon landings into exciting adventures. Hit a heavy-duty construction machine; no problem, bounce off; land in a river, wade out; land in a tree, fly out; land in a swamp, get a boat. We never had problems, only opportunities. Ballooning is an exciting sport and we have the stories to back it up. Daryl still enjoys the thrill of hot-air ballooning and takes part on a limited basis, mostly at the New York State Festival of Balloons in Dansville, NY. Daryl’s creative mind led to the design of the beautiful “big balloon.” Daryl has always held the crucial job of holding the crown during inflation. Dave became involved in ballooning at a very young age. He filled many different roles in the balloon operation. Dave crewed, chased, trained, became a pilot, and eventually started his own business, Enchanted Balloon Tours. The support of Dave’s wife Fran and his children Hayley and Dylan keep ballooning a big part of their lives. Scott has an unwavering love for hot air ballooning and has his commercial license. His real love is the chase-crew work on the ground. You would be hard-pressed to find a better hot-air balloon chaser. Scott also has a love of ballooning photography. Scott’s wife Kathy, and sons Hunter and Jack provide Scott plenty of support for his hobby.
