Jason is a handsome, precocious, 10 year old with two major problems in life: one, the fact that he is mute and the other is the lack of a father. He loves soccer and that is his outlet for communicating to the world. Jason’s Mom, a lovely young woman, is overwhelmed with the burden brought on by single parenthood, as well as Jason’s problems, and being a soccer Mom. Daniel is a rather indifferent former pro-soccer player, who even at this point in his life is searching for meaning. He, by a strange occurrence meets Jason. Living in a suburb of Ft. Worth, Texas, Dan, Jason, and other children, go through one adventure after another, from the soccer fields, chasing a mystery, and competing in the game of their lives.

About the Author – Francisco 'Paco' Guerrero, Ph.D.

Born in Tampico-Mexico, a then small tropical oil port by the Gulf of Mexico, Francisco “Paco” Guerrero, since early age, had the opportunity, and ability, to play various sports. Among them was soccer; which later, he played at professional level.

He became a good player, and blessed by having friends in all walks of life, he became a sports writer for two national magazines, and a local newspaper. One of his other "hobbies" was a sportscaster in a local radio station, where his sought-for commentaries were about soccer, boxing, and other sports.

As a journalist, he interviewed many of high-caliber world renowned athletes, boxers, and soccer players; among them, the greatest of them all - Edson Arantes Do Nacimiento -Pelé .

At 20, he wrote an essay about real-life anecdotes of the hotel and travel business, where he spent about 17 years. Later, he wrote "The Rapture of the Century", a book on futuristic issues and forthcoming events.

For his doctorate in 1995, at Louisiana Baptist University, he wrote a very technical dissertation on old languages and manuscripts, and translations into today’s languages. His dissertation became the book, "The Bible - God's Masterpiece Manipulated", an instant hit among the Christian community - 10 editions have been printed in English and two in Spanish.

One of his later books, "The Ultimate Goal", came as a result of own experiences and his friendship with “Daniel,” one of the main characters of the novel.
