The first book by its youthful author, Needles from Heaven is a collection of easy to read and entertaining poems. These are poems about hope, positive thinking, love and friendship, self content, difficulties, values, among others. Poems such as "If You Had Waited" and "Truth True Truth", that many, both young and old, can relate to easily. Think of it as a bowl full of spaghetti and each spaghetti strand is a different aspect of living, a poem to be read. Then go ahead, grab a fork, and join the party!

Sheran Amai Oradu is a native of Kenya. She has a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Xavier University of Cincinnati, Ohio, and is currently a phD candidate in Analytical Chemistry at Purdue University, Indiana. She started writing poems while in high school, initially for fun and later as a form of personal reflection. Poetry journaling has formed a major part of her day to day life since then, and has led to the compilation of “Needles from Heaven”.
