Susan Atchison Day was born in Minnesota. She earned a master’s degree in communications and a doctorate in human resources from Western Michigan University. While moving among Army posts worldwide, she taught on both a graduate and undergraduate level. Mother of two and grandmother of four, she is now retired and never happier than when out on an adventure, seeking what might be on the other side of the next hill.
