A Boisterous, Joyful Celebration of Life

Patsy King, a Southern a young and very timid woman meets and marries too soon, a young soldier, who immediately captivated her heart in the palm of his hand. Four children later, her handsome husband disclaims responsibility for her and their children, leaving her; a married, yet single, mother in Detroit in the 1960s, during a turbulent period of American history. In spite of her husband's continuous womanizing and his conspiratorial mother, she is determined to be the best mother she can be to her extended clan, to prove them both wrong about her choices in life. Many years later; now Patricia lies terminally ill and mostly comatose. Not sure how much their mother can hear or comprehend, her family gathers at her bedside day and night, as a tribute to her, sharing various wild and emotional memories of their childhood. Amidst their laughter, pain and tears, her nine children prepared to give their mother back to her Creator. Come share in their many intriguing tales, as they have no idea what stories their mother herself is telling behind her closed eye-lids. Unbeknownst to them all, Patricia laughs and cries along with her children, even having some belly-aching, hilarious rebuttals to some of them, which makes each dying second, that much more heart-warming. So put on your seat belt and ride along, as each character quickly pulls you into his or her sentimental journey, with the turn of each page.

Jeanette lives in Detroit, with her husband of over 30 years. Graduating High School, she later attended Wayne County Community College, majoring in Mathematics and English. Considering herself to be a self-made advocate for seniors and disabled individuals, she spent many years being care-giver to many. Unable to work doing one of the many things she loved, due to an old injury, she settled back into her very first passion; writing and helping others with their spoken word gifts, whenever permitted. Bring her two passions together, “God’s Adjust’n my Wings”, was penned over a span of 10 years. This writer hope is to make aware, the various illnesses that befall many, all over the world. Her main goal through her writings, it to bring to awareness, the importance in families familiarizing themselves with various illnesses and medications prescribed by their physicians month after month to themselves, as well as their aging parents. Her writings illustrate, no matter some of the most painful illnesses and or agonizing relationships with man; with God, even some of the worst situations in the end, life is still GOOD.
