Author Mary R. Lupa is a Chicagoan and a long-time friend of public transportation and has wondered why there are so few children's books that show young people actively riding buses and trains for everyday purposes. Stacy Takes the Train to School is her effort to launch a book showing children and public transportation together. Illustrator Yevgeniya Andriyevskaya is a full time student at Savannah College of Art and Design, majoring in animation. She enjoys illustrating, reading, and playing computer games.
