Larry NelsonLarry Nelson enlisted in the Army Air Corps the summer of 1942. He was called to active duty in January 1943. Larry became an aviation cadet and completed the Army Air Corps navigator training program. After he was assigned to the newly created B-29 program, he flew to Saipan in October 1944. Hell for Honshu tells the story of Larry's crew as they flew thirty five combat missions from Saipan to Japan. He doesn't spare the dangers and tragedies of the war, but also reveals some lighter, and even fun, moments.
