Product description...

Strong and Free is a true story of the life of Rebecca Campbell.

Becky writes about her life in Africa and the long painful journey it takes for her and her young children to finally end up on a plane bound for Canada on September 11, 2001.

Becky describes in detail how she had to endure beatings, trading her body for food, a ride to school and even for justice. She tells us of how she escaped the war zone with her three young children and her life as a refugee.

What Becky was not aware of it that some people in high places were watching her and how hard she was working; with the help from the President of Gambia and the UN Becky and her children were able to escape to her promise land, Canada!

This is a remarkable story of a courageous intelligent woman who finally made it to her dream land!

Since her arrival to Canada in 2001, Becky has taught herself English, obtained her GED, earned her Human Service Certificate at NBCC, and lives an honest productive life.

Becky wrote this book in hopes that many would read it all over the world and know that with hard work and perseverance you can survive and make a better life for yourself and your family.

“So many people take the little things for granted like healthcare, education, EI benefits, and good roads.... It is my hopes that others in Canada and America will read this book and realize how blessed they truly are.”

Rebecca Campbell

Out of the many people I have met, Rebecca Macauley Campbell is probably the most impressive. With her life story she truly has a significant narrative and message to share with others. Her tale is both gripping and meaningful, and I highly recommend it to anyone over the age of 16. She has repeatedly endured extremely challenging tribulations and travails, yet she has always gone on to flourish again and maintained her optimism and joie de vivre. This book is not only a good read; it may also be used as a conceptual roadmap for improving one’s outlook and life. You will be moved by this book.
