People + Dogs = LOVE = Family… Rising from Tragedy to Love Again

After losing her two beloved Labrador Retriever dogs in a tragic accident, A.E. Palmer knew she had to do something to share their story and try to heal from their horrific passing. Seeing her dogs perish from being hit by a massive truck, launched her into a sea of complete darkness. Sadie and Chudley brought so much light, love, happiness, and joy into her family and community. Writing about them and sharing their story of tragedy and the outpour of love and support from the community and beyond moved her and her family to tears. Writing for their voice, in their honor, and to share with others how from great loss can come amazing love. Also, to promote and spread the importance and value of each animal’s life. Animals bring so much to humans. Their unconditional love and loyalty is like no other, yet they have very few rights. Dogs play many major roles serving in communities, nations, and families. For A.E. Palmer and her boys, they were family. They were her therapy for a happy heart and soul. This is a story of tragedy, and of a rebuilding of a crushed family, whose hearts weighed heavily without beating. Trying to find faith, strength, hope, love, and peace, through prayers to God for direction and forgiveness. Animals and dogs receive little rights and regard in society, and A.E. Palmer hopes to give all animals a voice and start a change in animal laws to provide them with more respect and support.

A.E. Palmer and her family live in an old, happy, ranch home, in northern California, where they count their blessings, and share a strong bond and passion for the love of animals and their well-being. Dogs have always been an integral part of their family and lives. Writing has always been Palmer’s passion as well as her love for dogs, and building love for dogs within the community and beyond, is her joy. She hopes to continue to pour her devotion into the well-being and care of all dogs. Her life goal and mission is to cherish her moments with her family, friends, community, and home, while caring for animals, especially dogs, and giving them the voice they deserve.
