Derek, her 13-year-old brother, is interested in the other items of Alexis’ inheritance: a rusty key, a silver coin, and an old map. Initiating his own investigation, he determines that the items are connected to pirate treasure, and when he convinces his sister to go on a treasure hunt, they strike it rich—not only with silver coins, but with information. Old movie reels in the treasure chest reveal that the elasmosaur once resided in Loch Ness as but one of its several resident “monsters.” But the chief of police wants the creature dead, and Alexis must fight to save the elasmosaur from extinction.

ROBERT ESTAPE studied Literature and Creative Writing at Florida International University before joining the United States Navy and becoming a Hospital Corpsman. After leaving the armed forces he attended Barry University where he graduated with his BSN. He worked at Jackson Memorial Trauma Center and was accepted into the Nurse Practitioner program at FIU, graduating with honors. He practiced Internal Medicine for 17 years and became Board Certified in Functional, Regenerative, and Anti-Aging Medicine. Today he practices medicine with the South Miami Gynecology Oncology Group and is also a first assistant in Robotic surgeries. Robert has been writing since he was 15 years old, and enjoys combining his favorite genres - mystery and science-fiction - in a unique style.
