Product description...

Have you ever been to Slabtown?

“Slabtown” is a look into the past as viewed through the eyes of a ten year old boy (Frank Brewton) growing up in the South during the turbulent nineteen sixties (1960’s). The theme of this nonfiction centers around faith, family, and friendships needed to keep Frank’s family intact. “Slabtown” is a compilation of stories woven between good times and bad that transcends to our present day world. Times were difficult then and still are right now for families coping with the day to day pressure of raising a family. When you read the story think of all the people who have come to America from distance lands in search of their dreams and you have “Slabtown”. The only difference is physical distance in contrast to psychological distance placed upon the dreamer. The physical existence of “Slabtown” has long been swept away by the presence of time and progress. The “Slabtowns” of today have grown in part from a generation of men not putting away childish things as I Corinthians 13:11 has stated. God has placed men in a position of leadership of the family, but we as men have to decide to take the responsibilities that come with the position. It is of great importance to recognize this position of men in the world we live in today.
