For several years, Mrs. Norton has had the privilege of teaching and observing ten and eleven year olds as they worked through the challenges of 5th grade. She’s been an enthusiastic mentor to her students, encouraging their emotional growth and assisting them in becoming successful young adults. Surviving 5th Grade is based on many of her teaching experiences. Mrs. Norton holds a degree in Art, a Standard Life Teaching Credential and a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education. She lives in Ojai, California with her husband and their pets. Mrs. Norton enjoys a very full life keeping up with her family, friends, writing, teaching, art and music endeavors.
