During the first veteran's cultural fair held by the Veterans Service Office in Sarasota Fl 2005, Art Historians from Ringling College of the Arts judged and reviewed the Looking Glass by Dr. Max Boneta and recognized his work as a varied collection, to the works of Gerard Manley Hopkins. Admirably open and vulnerable, often sensitive and perceptive to a great profundity. They indicate that the "writer is an authentic poet such as 17th century poets Crashaw and Vaughan and he will identify with their intensity". Especially fine are "In My Garden" and Resurrected". Max also received the Editor's Choice Award for 2007 and is a published poet with the International Library of Poetry (By my side).
