Spanish Gold and Cocaine Cowboys

Book Details

Throwing caution to the wind, Federal Wildlife Officer Charlie Palmer throttled up his airboat, turned on his flashing blue lights, and accelerated toward the sound of automatic weapon fire. As he rounded the last turn in the marsh grass channel, his strobing lights caught the shape of a trawler’s stern heading toward the open water of the Gulf. He could barely distinguish the name “Esperanto” painted across the stern. Behind it, a small boat floated against the marsh grass with a heavy plume of black smoke and flames pouring from the deck. What the hell is going on out here? he wondered.

Quite a lot, as it turned out...

Suwannee Wild, the second in the Charlie Palmer Series, chronicles the adventures of a Federal Wildlife officer in Florida’s Lower Suwannee National Wildlife Refuge. In this installment, a cocaine cartel decides to use the Florida wilderness along the Gulf Coast to bring their product into the United States—and things quickly turn deadly for the rookie officer.
