Clash of the Moguls
The battle between an Eastern and a Western business tycoon for world dominance rises like a sandstorm out of the African desert. It spreads into both hemispheres, drastically impacting their lives. The action starts in the African desert when the Eastern tycoon, Vladimir Shushani, steals gold from a mine owned by his Western rival, Cyrus Livingston, and builds until it becomes their Armageddon as each seeks revenge on the other.
Livingston hires the OMICRON security company to retrieve the stolen gold, and they discover that Shushani, who owns Olympus Industries, was instrumental in the gold heist. They also find that Shushani is supporting the Al Qaeda terrorists in Africa.
Livingston demands revenge, and OMICRON develops a plan to hurt Shushani financially by attacking one of his oil refineries. Each seeks revenge on the other, which leads to a 4th of July attack on Livingston in Houston as the OMICRON forces attempt to prevent the assault.
Book Excerpt
Ken Walters, the mine superintendent for Minerales del Mundo, sat back in his chair and watched the LED on his SAT phone pulsate and flash Message Complete.
With a deep sigh, he thought. My final report. After four months in this damn desert, tomorrow we drive to Sidi Ifini and put the smelt on the plane to Marrakesh. Twenty kilos for the first month of operation is pretty decent.
Suddenly, the sound of gunfire ripped through the night. He reached into the desk drawer, drew his Colt.45, and rushed to the front door. As he yanked open the door, he was greeted by a burst of fire from a fifty caliber machine gun mounted on a Technical. The bullets tore through his chest, throwing his lifeless body backward as the first of three RPGs crashed through the window and exploded in the office.
