There was a little girl, and her name was Earle. Some of the children at school teased this little girl because her name was Earle. They thought that a name like Earle shouldn’t be a name for a girl. Living in this world can sometimes be tough. During recess one day, Earle decided she’d had enough! Read the story to find out what Earle did to some of the other kids. Anne Toole

Anne Toole grew up in Williston, South Carolina. She is a graduate of Anderson Jr. College in Anderson, South Carolina. Ms. Toole also graduated from the University of Georgia. She taught first grade for thirty years in Augusta, Georgia. After retiring, Ms. Toole worked part-time for several years as an ESOL teacher. She also began writing stories about children and animals. Most of the stories are written in verse. Ms. Toole presently resides in Columbia, South Carolina.
