Book Details

Cookie Jar Stories is a collection of vignettes from the rich and varied life of Sylvia Greenway. The book’s first part, “Cookie Jar Stories,” collects memories of family life—such as “The First Time I Met My Son-in-Law”—written over many years. Many of these vignettes were previously published in the Cuba, New York newspaper, The Cuba Patriot. Part Two, “Inside the Operating Room: From Ether to Propofol,” shares secrets from the wee hours and fascinating operating room experiences from Sylvia’s forty-year career as a nurse anesthetist, mostly in Olean and Dansville, New York hospitals.
