Book Details

Stanford botany professor Aldous Barkly had settled into an uneasy retirement when he got a call from his former assistant, Osgood Trotter. Barkly and Trotter had navigated a world where dogs, properly known as canines, lived alongside their human counterparts on an almost equal footing. Trotter’s canine ranch hand, Pedro Barranca, had been wrongly accused of murdering the president of the Citizens Bank of Paso Robles. Trotter’s belief that Barranca was framed and that only other canines could help him out drew Barkly out of his routine and into a web of intrigue and danger. In their final adventure Trotter and Barkly are called upon to use their canine instincts and experience in solving botanical mysteries to unravel the truth and bring justice to the case.
