About the Author

Dale Watten

Dale Watten dreams and lives in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. She has studied botany, taxonomy and native and medicinal plants and holds a bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from the University of Maryland. She is a garden club member and Extension Master Gardener. Janie Moltrup is currently working as a freelance photographer out of her studio in Smithsburg, Maryland. She is retired from the U.S. Senate Photographic Studio, but continues to photograph private events, corporate meetings, social gatherings and portraits through her business Janie Moltrup Photography and Design. Janie has studied in Dedham, England with watercolor artist Steve Hall and participated in watercolor and oil workshops at the Schuler School in Baltimore. She has written and illustrated a children’s book “Pitter Patter Goes the Rain” and has also illustrated several books for various authors. Janie also teaches watercolor workshops.
