Book Details

Soldiers and Statesmen, Spies and Outlaws

The blood-soaked Southern soil was seeded with hate. Reconstruction was only war by other means. Southerners fled west, to Mexico, some -- the Confederados -- all the way to Brazil. Wherever they travelled, the ideals of a shared secret society of Freemasons went with them. Well into the 20th Century the avenging Angel of Death enlivened both victor and vanquished. This is their story, one almost lost to history
