I have loved the outdoors and photography, for as long as I can remember. Being from a large family had a lot to do with that. They are some of my fondest memories. I spent five years studying Latin, botany, and horticulture at the well known Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania. I ran my own landscape business for fifteen years when we lost our oldest daughter. Then two years later came another reason to live on. Our beautiful daughter Sarah gave us three grandchildren. The three of them saved my life! I suffered a spinal injury that required two spinal fusion surgeries in the span of two weeks. I vowed to teach them everything I know about nature and all that she has to offer us.
