About the Author

Richard G. Lamb

Richard G. Lamb was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and raised in Bountiful, Utah. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Utah and then went to Rice University in Houston, Texas, to work on an advanced degree where he met his future wife, Nancy C. Martin (now deceased). They are the parents of three children. After graduating from Bountiful High School, Brother Lamb served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Austria where he learned and fell in love with the German language. He decided to make it a career. His emphasis of study at the universities was in German and English, and he has taught both of these languages for several years.
