Book Details

- Of The People And For The People -

A successful businessman is offered a position in a firm owned and controlled by a wealthy entrepreneur. Though excited to become the executive vice president, the job entails becoming involved in what appears to be an act of treason. Expected to lead a group into the second revolution by overthrowing the government through the use of the ballot box, he accepts the challenge. Selecting four others to aid in his endeavor, the group begins to promote a write-in candidate they nickname Parana, a modified word for the killer fish Piranha. Over the course of eight years, they succeed in replacing most of Congress with people outside of the political party system. There is opposition and threats on all of them, as members of the team are subjected to arrest and public humiliation, but they continue to persevere until the final day of reckoning—Election Day. The idea of having a government that is finally a true representation of the people, as it was intended by the first revolution, gives rise to a new beginning once again.
