Elizabeth LaRue “E. L.” Henry was born in Baltimore, MD. She studied acting, dance, and voice while pursuing a career as an actress and singer in Boston, Massachusetts and New York, New York. While touring several European countries performing choral compositions by composers, Ockeghem and Dufay, she also studied artwork from both the Renaissance and Impressionist periods, including architecture. She received her bachelor’s degree in literature from Antioch College and attended Goucher College Teachers’ Institute to complete her graduate work. She holds an Advanced Professional Certificate in English. A teacher of English, language arts, creative writing, dance, and drama, E. L. Henry has directed, produced, and choreographed multiple, well-received performances of the original plays found inside her anthology.
