IF A MAN CAN REVERSE DEATH

DOES THAT MAKE HIM A GOD?

LAPD Detectives Michael Darts and Mark Anderson are back in the highly anticipated sequel to The Martial Arts Murders!

The two detectives are on the trail of a gang of thieves who rob banks, jewelry stores and armored cars in violent, brazen, broad daylight heists. During the heists, the perpetrators exhibit odd behavior, are impervious to pain and are armed to the teeth with automatic weapons, explosives and martial arts weapons.

As the streets of Los Angeles turn into a war zone, Mike and Mark rush to cut through political red tape to apprehend the seemingly untouchable mastermind behind the gang before the city erupts into chaos.

Before the end, Mark's life will hang in the balance as Mike finds himself on a deadly collision course with a man who may have the answers to death itself!

In the tradition of an action sequel, Andy Schoepp cranks everything up 110% in Life and Money Heist. The action is more explosive, the martial arts fights are more elaborate, the sex is steamier and the plot twists just don't seem to let up! Hang on!

Book Excerpt

The scene looked like something out of a war movie. Squad cars were blocking off the street on both ends. The jewelry store was on the left, it was a one story building with a fancy glass front that was shattered and all over the sidewalk. A black cargo van was parked out front with the back doors facing the direction Mike and Mark came from. The back doors were open and a man dressed in all black including a black ski mask with an M-16 machine gun stood behind one of the open doors peppering the squad cars with automatic weapon fire. On the other end of the van, two men with uzis were spraying the police cars on the other side with automatic weapon fire of their own. The police officers were returning fire while taking cover behind their cars but they were seriously outgunned. Automatic weapons fire reigned supreme as did bullets piercing metal. People yelled and civilians screamed as they ducked inside buildings for cover. Then a police car on the opposite end from where Mike and Mark were coming from exploded in a roar and a huge fireball that sent the car ten feet in the air and then it came smashing to the ground with a loud boom.

Mike made the car come to a screeching halt turned slightly sideways. Both detectives got out, ran and crouched next to the nearest officer behind a police car.

“What the hell is going on” Mike yelled as he and Mark drew both of their silver cannon guns.

The officer said “these guys just hit the jewelry store and someone inside was able to trip the alarm.”

“How did that car explode” Mark asked.

As if in answer to that question, they saw another man dressed all in black, who was hiding behind the side doors of the van, stepped out to the side and lobbed a grenade toward the police cars on the opposite side. The grenade landed under the car next to the one that just blew up and that car did the same with a loud roaring fireball that sent it spinning through the air two stories high. It spun sideways and crashed through the windows of the second floor of a ten story building raining glass all the way down to the street and sidewalk below. Another loud boom sent flames twenty feet out from the window panes of the second floor where the car had flown through. With both cars blown up, there was now a big enough hole for the van to drive through.

Mike stood up quickly and fired several booming shots from the cannons into the van. The bullets made holes but did not penetrate.

As Mike ducked back down, the officer said “we tried that already, the van is reinforced with some kind of armor.”

Mark yelled “this is like that bank robbery in North Hollywood in 1997 where the police were outgunned by automatic weapons. Christ, these guys have M-16s, uzis, grenades, what the hell next?”

Mike looked at Mark and the other officer yelling “cover me!”

All three men stood up, Mark and the other officer just started firing to keep the enemy at bay while Mike fired low and hit the legs of the man with the M-16 by firing under the door. Mike fired several more shots that killed the man.

All three men ducked as a barrage of uzi fire slammed into the car they were behind.

Mike tried to yell loud enough so every officer possible could hear “aim for the legs under the doors.”

Several officers including Mike and Mark stood up and started firing. A man with an uzi made the mistake of stepping out to fire and Mark cut him down with several bullets to the chest.

One man in the van slammed the back door shut and leaned out to try to counter the sudden barrage by the police. Mike hit him in the head with one precise shot. The back of the man’s head blew out back into the van, but the body fell out the back.

Mark could see two figures dressed in all black jump into the van as it started pulling away heading for that opening created by the grenades. The man who was tossing the grenades, ran along side the van and tossed two grenades into businesses on the opposite side of the street from the jewelry store.

“Fuck me” Mark yelled as he shot the man making him dance in the air from the impact of the bullets.

Screams emitted from the stores, some people ran out before they detonated.

Mike yelled “get down!”

Two simultaneous booms erupted sending fire out of the entrances of the two businesses and glass into the street. Mark saw a leg and an arm lying on the sidewalk.

The officer yelled “what was that for?”

Mike yelled “they’re trying to keep us from chasing them so they’re creating civilian casualties. Get help down here fast, we’re going after them. Get some of these cars out of the way.”
