Umbrella Town won first prize in the Texas Katherine Anne Porter Literary Contest.

Marcia Allen Bennett

Author Marcia Allen Bennett is the author of four children’s books, most notably “Mystery at Jacob’s Well”. She is a retired teacher/librarian residing in Spring, Texas. Illustrator Michele Bennett has a degree in Art Education from Texas Tech University. She is a secondary art teacher at Cypress Christian School in Houston, Texas.
