Find New Joy in Marathon and Half-Marathon Running

Is it possible to successfully complete multiple multiple marathons and half marathons in two years—while training only one day per week? Absolutely! After running in 21 marathons and 19 half marathons, John Timmerman was bored with training. His challenge? To train just one day a week. Setting his sights on the 2016 Marine Corps Marathon, Timmerman followed a one-day-a-week training schedule—and finished with an exact pace of 11:00 minutes per mile for the entire race, his exact training pace throughout. Marathon and Half-Marathon Training, One Day a Week (It Can Be Done) describes this two-year running challenge, including varying experiments throughout with weekly mileage numbers, physical effects, and descriptions of actual races. Whether you’re an experienced marathon runner or have never tackled one before, this book offers practical advice and a simple plan to help you succeed. Learn if this training method is right for you!
