Book Details

A decorated soldier. A wrongful conviction. One man’s fight for redemption in a world that has moved on without him.

Michael McGraw is a highly decorated Army veteran whose life takes a devastating turn when he is sentenced to six years in Louisiana’s notorious Angola prison for a crime that defies his character. Convicted of involuntary manslaughter by a relentless prosecutor, the weight of the verdict haunts him through sleepless nights filled with darkness, noise, and the suffocating reality of prison life. Now released early for good behavior, McGraw steps back into a world that feels both familiar and unrecognizable. The people he once knew are gone or distant, and the life he left behind exists only in memory. As he struggles to rebuild, he is torn between the lingering grief of his past and the fragile hope of a new beginning. Amid uncertainty, inner conflict, and the search for purpose, McGraw must confront the man he was, the man he has become, and the possibility of love that may finally offer him redemption.
