Poetic Sexuality

Alphonso Taylor's third book, Sexual Freedom dives deep into the dirty and raw side of sex, sexuality and occasionally the love relationships that accompany it. Although Mr. Taylor does not sugar coat the very sexually charged scenes that make up his newest release, his purpose is not to inundate the reader with over the top sexual images. Quite the contrary, Mr. Taylor attempts to fight the world's sexual repression by challenging it from the core. He uses his talent as a writer and experience in the arts and acting to bring together the multiple voices that are on display in this erotic debut. This book is not for every reader, but for the open minded and sexually liberated adults. Sexual Freedom can become a dynamic part of any poetry collection and a must-have on your nightstand. Read Sexual Freedom with a lover close by because it's hot!

Book Excerpt

Sexual Freedom

There's nothing wrong with sexual freedom

Nature of the vagina and penis

Together they have human history

Lifetime chemistry

The tools to produce a baby on any date

Instruments for a man and woman to procreate

Whichever one is chosen for a mate

Sex is an art partners and lovers explore

It can't be something hard as a chore

Both genders must know their bodies

Techniques, there's a variety

Do it slow, fast, or steady

The moment when individuals are ready

Its not stress, it can be the reliever

Special happiness between the giver and receiver

They really should be satisfied

No feelings to fake or hide

Shouldn't keep it from each other for a long time

Least once everyday, sex is on the mind

About the Author

Alphonso Taylor

Alphonso "Al" Taylor was born and bred in Southeast, Washington DC. He is a graduate of Duke Ellington School of Performing Arts. Also, he's an alumni from the University of the District of Columbia with a BA in Theatre Arts. Aside from writing, Alphonso enjoys acting, which he performed in many theatrical productions in the DC area. He released his first book of poetry, Bible of an Owl: A Collection of Poems in 2006. On the follow-up, he released the sequel, his second book, Bible of an Alligator: A Collection of Poems in 2007. The creativity in his books gives him an art of being spiritual and sexual. Mr. Taylor is a student of the human condition, wielding the written craft to enrapture the mind much like an artist wields a brush. The pages are a blank canvas on which to draw from a talent heralded by many and matched only by an imagination that rises to the task. He writes in a rap style of the Apocalypse to destroy all evil forces surrounding him. He resides in DC.
