Thoughtful observations to help soothe your life journey

You Can Make It is a personal gift from Nancy Jean-respected Reiki Master/Trainer, life coach & holistic practitioner-who, having embraced so much pain in her own life, is dedicated to walking with others as they face their own emotional, mental and spiritual struggles.

In this intimate book of poems and musings inspired by the Guiding Voice within, Nancy Jean shares the truth that lies behind the poems and the wisdom that has been born from her experiences. There are poems about loss, love, fear, faith, courage, friends-some humorous, others deeply touching.

From "The Altar Rail"

"The well-worn wood of the altar rail

My hands did grasp in prayer

As I knelt to receive my Father's touch

When life began to wear....

Like water upon a stone's sharp edge

Bringing softness made by time.

What other tears had that altar felt

Before that day like mine...."

Book Excerpt

“I have not come into this world to become all I can become, but to be all that I am”…… those words woke me from my sleep April 10, 1995, and were as clear as if I were hearing them from someone next to me. Those words were words I did not totally understand. Were they coming from within me? Were they coming from outside of me? I did not know and yet the words were as clear and meaningful as if I had read them from the pages of an inspirational book." ........

"The poetry Nancy writes comes from the depths of human suffering, and from that place of suffering, exemplifies a soul struggling for the ability to rise above the circumstances of life. Her poetry and writing represent the capacity of the human spirit to recover, resurrect, look for the positive in life and break free from the invisible chains that try to keep one earth bound and defeated. It seems when she writes, an invisible force directs her thought to those thoughts of a higher plane….a plane that offers hope and a way to escape. In a world laden with hopelessness, despair and lack of spiritual direction, her poetry has been referred to as a liaison of light, pointing one to a higher plane of thought and feeling.”

About the Author

Nancy Jean

Nancy Jean is a rebirther through the Association of Rebirthers and Trainers International (ARTI), as well as an Adamantine Facilitator, a Reiki Master/Trainer, and an ordained minister. Nancy’s gift of speaking to other’s hearts was witnessed in her column called “Growing Pains,” which was carried in a regional paper in Tennessee in the late ’90s. She attended the State University of New York at Morrisville and Trevecca Nazarene College, Nashville, in the Management of Human Relations program.

Her journey has had her participating, in different capacities, in many organized religious communities in the different areas in which she has lived. It was while participating in those communities that she began to see and experience the Oneness of all. Her passion is the recovery process, “recovering the awareness and connection to our ‘child of Godhood.’”
