Book Details

Excuse me, God, could you pass the biscuits?

Imagine if you could, what it would be like to have God as your dinner guest.

What would the conversation be about? Would you dare to ask Him the questions

that you have always wanted the answers to? And more important than your

questions would be, could you understand and accept his answers? Get ready to

meet Howard, Joseph, and Arkin. Three elderly gentlemen with little in common

except a deep and loving friendship. All three of different religious backgrounds.

Different races and socioeconomic backgrounds. Joined for their weekly

friendship dinner by a stranger who may or may not be who he claims to be but

filled with a wisdom and knowledge that is both intriguing and baffling to the

three of them. I probably haven’t asked or answered the same questions you

would want me to, but who knows, maybe someday in the future, He just might

ask me to breakfast.

Book Excerpt

It’s late Friday afternoon and Howard is in the kitchen getting out all the

ingredients and dishes he was going to need. He knew that the timing had to be

spot on as he checks his watch. If the casserole gets done too early, it might be

cold by the time his guests arrive. But Arkin and Joseph will not be happy if I am

still cooking, and they must entertain God all by themselves.

“What the hell is wrong with me?” thinks Howard. “Why am I so nervous about

this? It’s not God. It’s just some guy that wants a free meal. It will be fun to

meet someone new.”

About the Author

Bill Luther

William Luther grew up knowing hard times. An abusive and alcoholic father, a

passive yet intelligent mother, along with a strict evangelical grandmother

shaped his early belief system. But it would take a massive flood and the

acceptance of his own flaws to show him the way and to help him write this

book.
