Book Details

Prose that is wry, humorous, eccentric, and sometimes profane

Dennis Hopper’s poems can be described as outrageous, entertaining, nostalgic, and tragic. Most often based on real events and real people, they represent a slice of life garnered from the author’s personal experience and a lifetime of wondering, watching, and listening. Hopper—a husband, father, and veteran—also touches upon the sometimes funny, sometimes sad process of aging in this powerful debut collection. Words Will is another step in one man’s journey.

About the Author

Dennis Edward Hopper

After a lifetime of writing professionally for others, Dennis Edward Hopper decided it was time to express thoughts and ideas that were solely his own. He left his hometown of Addison, New York, to enlist in the Air Force, and with the GI Bill, he attained a master’s degree from the University of Georgia. He retired as deputy director of the Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission and now lives in Athens, Georgia, with his wife Mary and sons Joseph and Jefferson.
