Women of Genesis: What can we learn from them?

Women of Genesis: What can we learn from them? This Bible study was written to show that the first women were real “human” ladies who had attitudes, feelings and emotions like we women have today. They had intelligent minds, they were not cave people. The ladies we will study felt pain, and they got bone tired. When they got hot they would sweat, and when they were cold, they got chill bumps. They had belly laughs and they suffered soul stirring tears. These women felt jealousy, hatred and sorrow. On occasion they knew elation and heart thrilling joy. They had PMS and grumpy moods, as well as days when the kids drove them crazy. I’m sure they each knew the apprehension of holding a feverish toddler. They were successful sometimes and reacted with courage and confidence. And then there were days they failed, felt helpless, disappointment. You can be sure that all of these women knew fear and love, just like you and I feel. We will watch the women of Genesis live with others and learn about Jehovah God. We see how their reactions, attitudes and choices changed history. Your choices change history too. Will you choose to believe the devil, like Eve? Will you choose to believe God’s Word and have faith in His blessing like Sarah? Would you blindly follow the LORD’s will like Rebekah? Let’s dance through the pages of Genesis with them and see what we can learn.
