About the Author

Danielle Yakabowskas

Danielle Yakabowskas was born in Connecticut and started writing poetry at the age of 14. Her works became published at the age of 18. In her early twenties, she was diagnosed with bi-polar disorder. Each day is an emotional challenge. The subject of her early poetry was dark; dealing with issues such as depression, suicide, and alcoholism. Over time, and after the birth of her son, she started to see the light at the end of the tunnel and her poems took on a different form. They became positive, uplifting and spiritual. She resides in Connecticut with her son, and her daughter.
