Part I, the novella develops two protagonists through parallel life experiences. Using time shifts to capture their life changing moments, who they are and what they become is revealed. Where is true meaning, fulfillment, and love to be found in their journey? Does their limited inherited mental acuity, social environment and family effect their decision making? Modern Toronto serves as the setting in which their stories unfold. Part II is a series of short tales dealing with various human issues. Ranging from the innocence of youth battling those that take advantage of their naivety to the difficulties a young woman must overcome because of her cheating female lover, these two stories as all the others deal with the foibles of relationships whereby evolving, seemingly rational individuals attempt to find their place with others. Realistically human, all the main characters struggle to find what works in their need to get to the heart of what constitutes true, worthwhile living.
