Life Has an Assignment for You… Do You Know What It Is?

First generation college students, teen parents, GED, ESL, and Student Affairs Coordinators, and school counselors, STATIONS is the quick resource for parents and professionals preparing students for careers in the 21st century workforce. The workplace is competitive and changes rapidly. If your future does not look promising, there may be some personal lifestyle routines, unrealistic expectations, or self-defeating behaviors worth examining that include you and your children. STATIONS is a collection of essays exploring the life lessons many of us encounter as we grow and change in a world fueled by new information and technology. Author Lynda Mubarak shares her thoughts about surviving in a digital world, preparing children to be successful, and career transitions for adults. It is a valuable self-help resource book for those with young children, tech savvy teens, and family members looking for a new outlook on life. STATIONS is inspiring, amusing, informative, compassionate, smart, caring, and filled with common sense reminders that we often ignore. Is it time to change stations and re-brand your behaviors, lifestyle or employment goals? Children change STATIONS and so do adults. Plan ahead for yourself and your family!

Book Excerpt

STATIONS It’s on your mind constantly. You feel the pressure to make some changes, but which decisions make sense, especially at this time in your life? Your spouse or significant other understands the stress involved, but what can he or she do? After all, the final decision is up to you. There are no silver bullets, lifetime warranties, or guarantees of a happy outcome after the transition. Moving on in life is a huge challenge for adults who realize that the current job is not satisfying or meeting the financial requirements to maintain a balanced life. You may be an ex-offender or a new employee. You may be reorganizing your life after a catastrophic event, returning to work after several years of unemployment, or re-entering the world of work after your children have established their lives. Or, do you need to change your personal, financial, or health routines? Whatever your challenges are, it's time to create new circumstances and outcomes for you and your loved ones .
