Book Details

Any dream, no matter how difficult, can be pursued.

His is an unsung or perhaps a "quietly" sung life of enduring moments and of sincere commitment, as he moved in the direction of his dream. His is a symbol for the African-American community, or any community, but for Chicagoans in particular, and for all young people everywhere.

Book Excerpt

Life does not always give you the immediate answers or the immediate and positive results of which you may desperately feel you deserve. Sometimes life (destiny perhaps, if you will) indicates to you in various ways that you must wait - wait your turn as Law dictates. And while waiting, be happy to wait through all eternity if need be, yet in the waiting you must not be dismayed of delay, but keep strong with an undying belief, with patience and endurance. Yes, sometimes as difficult as it may seem, you must endure the "stuff", the scuffle, whatever it may be and hold steadfast despite all. You must let faith hold you firm. The idea then of "wait" will finally be of no consequence as long as you proceed with faith, your hearts desire and confidence.

About the Author

NormaJean is a student of the human condition, wielding the written craft to enrapture the mind much like an artist wields a brush. The pages are a blank canvas on which to draw from a talent heralded by many and matched only by an imagination that rises to the task. The Larry Holliday Story is the first in a series of recent pursuits, with work progressing quickly on the follow-up.
