Life is truly not your own especially when abuse, prostitution, and drugs become a way of life. I wrote this book to give courage and hope to others who are currently going through the same pain that I had in the past. I want my book to be a lantern that will help light the path to balance spiritual peace and higher self-esteem. I also needed to set the record straight with my family members. Throughout my whole ordeal I knew there was a Higher Power working in and through me guiding my steps however, drugs were pulling me into an abyss of delinquent behaviors which changed who I was on the outside but never the person I am at heart. Caroline Polk Palmer now lives in Marks, Mississippi. She is an active member of the Marks Magnolia Clubhouse. She is married to Delbert Palmer and loves to spend time with her 3 year old daughter TaAliyah and has reunited with her other children.
