A native of Philadelphia, Jerrine Wire resides on Cape Cod, spends the winter in Sonoma County, California, and travels regularly to Europe and Japan. In her life she has been an art student, artist’s model, single mother, teacher of macrobiotic cooking, caterer, acupuncturist, spiritualist, and health food retailer. With her husband of nearly five decades, she now co-owns a thriving import business, yet still finds time to write, paint, cook, and garden. Her first novel, Beatchik, inspired by her bohemian youth in 1960s Boston, New York’s East Village, and Haight-Ashbury, was also published by Outskirts Press.
