Shenandoah was a Native American Indian maiden, the daughter of the Chief of the Mattaponi Tribe, who lived in the 1400’s in Virginia. From her magical birth to her death at the hands of her husband at the age of 14, she proved to be a very special spirit with spiritual powers inherited from many reincarnations. Did you know that two-thirds of the world’s population believes in reincarnation or rebirth, the rebirth of a life force or soul within a new physical body? It is said the concept of reincarnation is older than recorded history. Let me ask you something. Have you ever been in a foreign place and felt you have been there before? Have you listened to music and been transported to another time and place? Have you met a stranger and had an immediate liking or dis-liking for him? Have you ever dreamed that you were a totally different person, living a totally different life? If so, you are not alone; millions of people over the centuries have done the same thing. It is believed that the soul returns to Earth to work out lifetimes of Karma. You are the sum of your feelings, thoughts and actions, both good and bad, from this life and every other life you have had. You are here to learn and become more God-like. Karma exists to teach us and perfect us so we can eventually go to the Light with God and end the cycle of rebirth. When the body dies, the soul goes to another spiritual plain and is met by its spirits and guides. It goes through a review of its life; both its triumphs and failures. The soul will go to other spiritual plains to work on their purity and then dwell in a heaven of their choice. It is said that the soul picks a favorite life and place to dwell in, along with other spirits that they knew in past lives. Come with me to Shanandoah’s heaven, her Secret Village, dance with her at the Great Gatherings, battle her dragons and evil spirits, watch the silver stars flash from her eyes when she is angry or upset, learn her customs and ceremonies, and re-live her unbelievable life. From her love for Black Eagle, who she could not marry, to her trances in the Sweat Lodge, to help her people, to her love for Mags, her wolf- dog and Hope, her black eagle, she will never cease to amaze you.
