Book Details

The invisible adventurer and blind-seer.

One person’s inner journey of self discovery are their own. Expressed through esoteric language and allegory, this is mine. An inner place closely and subtly connected to the world outside. The world shared with everyone else. When the ties to one or the other cry out to be let go of. Where the only course of action...is necessary surrender.

About the Author

Walter James Sylvia

Walter James Sylvia is a life long resident of the city of New Bedford, Massachusetts. He was a singer/songwriter for 30 years. He was the first born of working class parents, James and Claire Sylvia. He followed suit and worked for the city of New Bedford as well as in manufacturing factories. Close to his sister Laura and his brother John, both of New Bedford. Also occasionally enjoys spending time antique shopping with lifelong friend and soul mate Karoline. He is an advocate for the homeless as well as a facilitator of a mens recovery from alcohol group in his community. This little book of poetry was a suggestion from a clinician, while he was in treatment for alcoholism. These poems are expressions of his meditation and reflection, using an allegorical tone.
