Book Details

Mayhem - a criminal offense that involves the violent injury or maiming of a person

This is the story of two men, Henry Worley, who survived the hangman’s noose but would eventually fall to a hail of gunfire from his fellow whitecappers. The other is William Roper, who would be thrown in an abandoned copper pit, beaten and shot by a band of hooded men. He would remain in the pit for six days but would live to tell his story. His testimony, along with Worley’s demise, would lead to the fall of the whitecappers in Murray County, Georgia.
