The author wonders who will remember his long-dead beloved grandfather and muses about his own mortality.

About the Author

Harvey Pool

HARVEY POOL was born and raised on the north side of Chicago. He attended elementary and high school in that city and graduated from the University of Illinois, Urbana/Champaign. Mr. Pool’s short story, Uncle Leo, won a Glimmer Train Honorable Mention Award. It was one of the stories in his collection of short fiction, Along the Way, which was nominated for the 27th Annual Colorado Independent Publishers Association (CIPA) EVVY Awards as one of the Best Independent Published Books of 2020. In 2021 he published Looking Back, a collection of his poems written from 1962-2021. Mr. Pool has lived in Chicago and Los Angeles and currently resides in Chicago with his wife, Susan.
