The Worth of One

The question we ask ourselves in the midst of our distress, in the midst of our severe circumstance is, “Does God really care about me?” and “Do I really matter?” The answer to both of these questions is absolutely “Yes.” You and I do matter to God, our situations move Him, our trials touch Him, our crying out to Him in the midnight hour stirs Him into action on our behalf. We are worth it to Him, we are worth the time, we are worth the effort, we are worth every moment. He has chosen us, He has called us, He has saved us by His Grace, He has come to reside in us through His Spirit. There is no circumstance, problem or situation that is too great for Him to stop loving us.

About the Author

Rev. Art DeAscentis

I was born and raised in Southern California. When I was 18, I felt and heard the Call of God to the Ministry. In 1983 I married Janet Victoria Bradley, the love of my life. After three short years and one daughter born to us God called us to Arkansas. So, we moved in 1986 to the great state of Arkansas. Now being here these past 36 years, we have had the privilege of fulfilling the positions of Assistant Pastor, Pastor, Evangelist and Bible teacher. We have raised four wonderful children. Now we get to enjoy spending time with our children, their spouses and our six wonderful grandchildren, looking back on all we have been through; we have certainly seen the hand of God directing our path.
