A Masterpiece of Spiritual Mysticism
As its title suggests, The Challenge of Enlightenment is primarily concerned with the difficulties and inertia we encounter on the spiritual journey. It also makes the case that true enlightenment does not come based solely on what we know. Rather it is an integral transformative experience that can only come to pass when we are willing to lay down our lives for it. The attaining of spiritual mastery is not now and never has been easy. It takes time, effort, and perhaps most importantly, courage. It requires that we become men and women of true spiritual authority, for only in this way can we put to flight all the unwanted elements indigenous to the earthly plane that have become situated within us. In this book a format of mystical literature is used, in order to shed new light on spiritual experiences such as the cross, the resurrection, the baptism of the Spirit, and redemption. Thus the reader is enabled to recognize their great significance and power and embrace them with a renewed commitment.
