Apostle Paul teaches, “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ” (Philippians 3:20). With those words, Paul is encouraging Christ followers to develop the maranatha mindset! In contrast with those of the world, Christ followers are to have a very different perspective on life. As Paul reminds us, our homeland is in heaven, not here on earth. In this life, citizenship is an important function, but our eventual home is in heaven with Christ Jesus! That’s where our focus is to be. In other words, our heavenly citizenship and destiny are far more important than our fleeting travel on earth! Eagerly waiting is the maranatha mindset. Be encouraged!

He graduated from Community College of Philadelphia and earned an A.A. in chemistry, earned a B.S. in education from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, and a Th.
